By breeding my beautiful brindle girl, Haley, to Rossglen Ruthart, I managed to acheive what I wanted - a male version of Haley. Brooklyn, as he became known, possesses so many of his mother's outstanding characteristics that he is, undoubtedly a "mummy's boy".
When he was born Brooklyn was all black, and like all dachshund puppies had a little squashed-in nose. In fact he looked like a baby newfoundland. So much so in fact that he was named after a friend's Newfoundland Kennel - Brooklynbear!!!
Being black brindle, a minority colour in the ring, hasn't stopped this wonderful dog from gaining a growing band of admirers, all willing to look past his colour to appreciate his quality.
But don't take my word for it . . . . . see for yourself . . . . . .

This picture was taken when Brooklyn was just under a year old. Please feel free to view his pedigree.
To his credit he has many Best of Breeds at open level, multiple reserve Green Stars and even managed to secure a placing in a large Yearling Stakes Class under working/pastoral group specialist, Mr Steven Hall.
"b/br of supreme quality, good head, eye, neck shoulders and topline, well angulated, good body, shows with aplomb, should be an asset to the breed.
